The Grass is Greener on the Other Side ( Attari, Audhar India)| 2019 |Acrylic on photograph | 5”x4”
In this work, I took photographs across the border, which consists of a landscape dominated by a dark fence that divides the two countries. During my journey, I discovered how Pakistani-Indian farmers work side by side but are not allowed to talk to each other, how the mere border has divided the people and the land. Therefore, I painted over the fence, by removing the border, I made it into a single landscape which depicts the desire of a utopian land without borders.
